Kristin Martin is a poet, picture book author and primary school teacher from Adelaide, South Australia. She lives near the sea with her family, green tree frogs and turtles.
Here are some photos of Kristin’s green tree frogs. Can you tell which frog is in both photos? Hint: they change colour, but their spots stay the same.

Kristin’s family has two short necked turtles, Speedy and Emily. They spend most of their time in their ponds, but sometimes they leave to go for a walk in the garden.

Kristin also has a long necked turtle called Percy. She has never seen him leave the pond, so, in all his photos, he looks like this:
Kristin loves growing flowers in her garden, and then she likes to take photos of them. She also likes to watch the insects and birds who like the flowers as well. Which flower do you like best?

Kristin has written five picture books and a poetry book for children. You can read about Kristin’s books here.
Some of Kristin’s poems and stories have been published in Touchdown, Count Down, Orbit and Blast Off (The School Magazine). If you live in Australia, then you may have seen these magazines in your school library.
Kristin’s poetry book for grown-ups, Paint the Sky, was published by Ginninderra Press in late 2016. It is available through Ginninderra’s Website.
