The giraffe can keep no secrets
from her neighbours at the zoo,
for those nosy little fellows
always know what she’s up to.
You can see those nosy creatures,
throughout each day and night,
perched upright atop their stumps,
staring with all their might.
They see what time the giraffe wakes up
and all she has to eat,
and even when she does those plops
that land between her feet.
You’ll often hear the giraffe complain
of her lack of privacy.
‘Whose bright idea was it to put
those meerkats next to me?’
