Nosy Neighbours

The giraffe can keep no secrets from her neighbours at the zoo,
for those nosy little creatures always know what she’s up to.

You’ll see her little neighbours all throughout each day and night,
upright atop their tree stump, staring back with all their might.

They note the time that she awakes and all she has to eat
and even when she does those plops that land between her feet.

Giraffe will often loudly moan her lack of privacy,
‘Whose bright idea was it to put those meerkats next to me?’

    • Hi Tiaana,

Thanks! I get my ideas from all around me. This one was at the zoo, when the meerkats used to be next to the giraffe, and I felt sorry for the giraffe being stared at all the time.

  1. I understand those giraffes! It would be fine if the put a higher wall in between the giraffes and the meerkats so the meerkats can’t see!

  2. I bet that it was very annoying for the giraffe. They watched the giraffe even when he was doing his personal things! No way! I like this poem but I wouldn’t like to be that giraffe otherwise how would I react? This poem makes me feel like laughing too and meerkats are nosy. The third paragraph was the funniest. Awesome Job on this poem!
